Escambia County will head out to face Hillcrest after giving up their first home loss of the season on Monday. Escambia County took an 86-67 bruising from Tate. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Blue Devils came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 132nd in Alabama, while the Aggies are ranked 408th in Florida).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Hillcrest challenged Opp on Saturday. Hillcrest claimed a resounding 65-28 win over Opp. That looming 65-28 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Jaguars yet this season.

Hillcrest has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.2 points per game. As for Escambia County, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3.

Escambia County came up short against Hillcrest in their previous matchup back in January, falling 65-59. Can Escambia County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
