Basketball Game Preview: Hamilton Big Blue vs. West Clermont Wolves

Last Saturday, Hamilton humbled Middletown with a 52-23 victory. The matchup marked the Big Blue's most dominant win of the season.

Meanwhile, West Clermont faced Milford in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Wolves strolled past the Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 68-54. 68 seems to be a good number for the Wolves as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Hamilton better focus on containing Bella Swisshelm and Layla Hale as the pair were huge in West Clermont's win. Swisshelm shot 54% from the field to rack up 19 points and six rebounds, while Hale went 7-for-10 on her way to 17 points and seven boards. Swisshelm is on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 54% in the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedi Campbell, who posted 13 points.

Hamilton's win bumped their record up to 4-18. As for West Clermont, their victory bumped their record up to 20-2.
