After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Deer Valley, Thunderbird was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Goldwater Bulldogs by a score of 6-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-1 last Monday.

Patrick Ramon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Austin Coates, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Andrew Cohill, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Thunderbird was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Goldwater only posted a batting average of .208.

Thunderbird's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Goldwater, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Looking ahead, Thunderbird will head out on the road to take on Paradise Honors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Goldwater, they will take on Arcadia at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
