Softball Recap: Hudson Cobras vs. Cypress Creek Coyotes

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Crystal River, Hudson was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 victory over the Cypress Creek Coyotes . This was payback for Hudson, who suffered a 0-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Sophia Spengler made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off nine hits (and not a single walk). Spengler has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Spengler was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.
