Basketball Game Preview: Dubuque Senior Rams vs. Wahlert Golden Eagles

The Dubuque Senior Rams will head out on the road to challenge the Wahlert Golden Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Dubuque Senior is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Dubuque Senior lost 67-43 to Iowa City on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 174th, while the Little Hawks are ranked 16th).

Meanwhile, Wahlert came up short against Iowa City West on Tuesday and fell 53-44. The Golden Eagles haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Dubuque Senior's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Wahlert, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Dubuque Senior came up short against Wahlert in their previous meeting back in January, falling 57-45. Can Dubuque Senior avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
