Baseball Game Preview: Grove City Greyhounds vs. University School Preppers

The Grove City Greyhounds will face off against the University School Preppers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Grove City 3.9, University School 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Grove City barely beat Olentangy Berlin the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Greyhounds were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Bears on Thursday. The Greyhounds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, University School's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Marysville by a score of 7-6.

Bryce Fielding and Deacon Nelson did some serious damage despite the final result: Fielding got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base, while Nelson went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Aaron Moss was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Grove City has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for University School, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-4.
