Basketball Recap: Heavener Comes Up Short

In Wednesday's Canine Competition, Heavener had to take the L. They took a 44-26 bruising from the Spiro Bulldogs on Wednesday. The Wolves haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Heavener's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Spiro, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Heavener will square off against Pocola at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pocola will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Heavener surely won't give up without a fight. Spiro has already played their next contest, a 44-29 win against Whitesboro on the 24th.
