Statesboro had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Greenbrier Wolfpack. While the Blue Devils didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Statesboro had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-21, 15-11.

Statesboro's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Greenbrier, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Statesboro wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Evans on the 16th. As for Greenbrier, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Savannah Christian on the 16th.
