Football Game Preview: Brevard Blue Devils vs. Burns Bulldogs + Official Tickets

The Brevard Blue Devils will take on the Burns Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Brevard is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They breezed past West Stokes to the tune of 41-14. The victory was just business as usual for the Blue Devils, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.

Brevard's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tristan Thompson-Wynn led the charge by picking up 150 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, while also punching in one touchdown on the ground. With that strong performance, Thompson-Wynn is now averaging an impressive 102.2 receiving yards per game. Another passer making a difference was Chrstian Conley, who threw for 203 yards and three TDs on perfect 13-for-13 passing.

Meanwhile, Burns took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 49-7 win over West Stanly. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bulldogs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Colts are ranked 266th).

A big part of Burns' victory came down to the chemistry between Drew Dixon and his top target Romelo Wells. Dixon threw for 235 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine passes while Wells gained 171 total yards and two touchdowns. Those 235 passing yards gave Dixon a new career-high.

Burns' win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Brevard, their victory bumped their record up to 11-0.
