Basketball Recap: Clinton Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

Clinton hadn't done well against Oak Grove recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Clinton Cardinals walked away with a 56-43 victory over the Oak Grove Panthers. That's two games straight that the Cardinals have won by exactly 13 points.

Oak Grove's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keenan Brady, who posted six points and five boards. Luke Schartz was another key player, going 5 of 8 en route to 10 points.

Clinton has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Oak Grove, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

Clinton has already played their next contest (against Nevada), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Oak Grove has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against St. Paul Lutheran.
