Recap: Claxton Tigers vs. Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs
The Claxton Tigers had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 49-44 victory over Emanuel County Institute on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Claxton also won the last time the pair played on January 2nd.
Claxton found their leader in underclassman Jayda Jordan, who scored 24 points. Another player making a difference was Zarriana Ortaviyah harden, who scored 12 points.
Claxton's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-16. As for Emanuel County Institute, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-13.
Claxton will head out on the road to face off against the Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bulloch Academy is coming into the match hot, having won their last ten games. As for Emanuel County Institute, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the War Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
