Football Recap: Acadiana Christian Comes Up Short on the Road Against East Rankin Academy

Acadiana Christian kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a blow against the East Rankin Academy Patriots, falling 56-6. The Defenders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-6.

Brandon Loper had an outrageously good game for East Rankin Academy as he rushed for 160 yards and five scores on only 14 carries. That's the most rushing yards Loper has posted since back in September of 2024.

Looking ahead, Acadiana Christian will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Danbury at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Rankin Academy, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Canton Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
