Volleyball Recap: Warren Warriors vs. Circleville Tigers
Warren had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Circleville Tigers by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2018.
Warren had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-17, 25-20, 25-17.
Madyson Long paced Warren's offense, picking up 32 kills. Long got some help from
Payge Cornell and her 50 assists. Long also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with
Bailey Saliba, racking up two apiece.
Warren has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-2 record this season. As for Circleville, they moved to 17-8 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.
