Basketball Recap: Tri-Valley Warriors vs. Minto Lakers
Tri-Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. The game between them and the Minto Lakers didn't end well, with the Tri-Valley Warriors falling 50-35. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lakers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.
Minto's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tayla Baker led the charge by putting up 21 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Baker has scored at least a third of Minto's points. Jena Smith was another key player, earning 14 points.
Tri-Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Minto, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-6.
