Softball Game Preview: Seaside Seagulls vs. Astoria Fishermen

Seaside is 0-10 against Astoria since April of 2022 but things could change on Thursday. The Seagulls will welcome the Fishermen at 4:00 p.m. Seaside has given up an average of 11.9 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Seaside is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Saturday. They lost 14-8 to Valley Catholic.

Meanwhile, Astoria entered their tilt with Tillamook on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 21-5 margin over the Cheesemakers. Considering the Fishermen have won seven contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Seaside's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Astoria, their win bumped their record up to 13-4-1.
