Soccer Recap: Metamora's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

After flying high against East Peoria on Tuesday, Metamora came back down to earth. The Redbirds fell just short of the Roanoke-Benson/Eureka Rockets by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Metamora came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 126th, while Roanoke-Benson/Eureka are ranked 293rd).
