Willowbrook has gone a perfect 3-0 against Bartlett recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Willowbrook Warriors will look to defend their home field against the Bartlett Hawks at 4:30 p.m.
After dropping their season opener at home, Bartlett is headed out to face a Warriors team ready to give their home crowd a win. Willowbrook fell just short of Glenbard East by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. While the Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rams 4-0 in the first period.
Willowbrook got a good showing from Noah Edison, who struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Edison gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Vinny Ippolito made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI.
Meanwhile, Bartlett came into Tuesday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out Crystal Lake South 11-10 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hawks have posted since May 4, 2024.
Josh Colaizzi was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Colaizzi was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Austin Daubenmire was excellent, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. Alex Bihun was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI.
Everything went Willowbrook's way against Bartlett when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Willowbrook made off with an 8-2 win. Will Willowbrook repeat their success, or does Bartlett have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
