Basketball Recap: Indian Lake Piles Up the Points Against Upper Scioto Valley

Indian Lake posted their biggest victory since February 7, 2024 on Monday. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 60-33 stomp they got against the Upper Scioto Valley Rams. The Lakers pushed the score to 49-26 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rams had little chance of recovering from.

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Raegan Castle, who posted 11 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ivie Gonzalez, who put up five points.

Indian Lake's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Upper Scioto Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Indian Lake will face off against Benjamin Logan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Upper Scioto Valley, they will square off against Arcadia at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
