Basketball Game Preview: Kewanee Boilermakers vs. Sherrard Tigers

The Kewanee Boilermakers will square off against the Sherrard Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Saturday, Kewanee had just enough and edged Deer Creek-Mackinaw out 62-60. The win continues a trend for the Boilermakers in their matchups with the Chiefs: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sherrard). They blew past Flanagan-Cornell, posting an 88-27 victory. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 21 points or more this season.

The win (which was Sherrard's fourth in a row) raised their record to 23-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points over those games. As for Kewanee, their victory bumped their record up to 13-14.
