Basketball Recap: Waco Christian Takes a Loss

Waco Christian suffered their biggest defeat since December 10, 2024 on Saturday. They took a blow against Grayson Christian, falling 57-16. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Warriors' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Waco Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Zeriya Potts and Gabby Hanan. Potts posted eight points along with six boards and three blocks, while Hanan had no points. Potts is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Waco Christian's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-6. As for Grayson Christian, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-4.

As of now, neither Waco Christian nor Grayson Christian have any future games scheduled.
