Volleyball Recap: Firebaugh Takes a Loss

Firebaugh lost against Chowchilla back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles came up short against the Tribe, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-8, 25-14.

Leading Chowchilla to victory were April Miller and Shalaya Moore. Miller had 14 digs, while Moore hit 64% for 17 kills and nine digs and three aces. Those 64% hitting percentage gave Moore a new career-high.

Firebaugh has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Chowchilla, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Firebaugh wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Liberty on the 28th. As for Chowchilla, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Torres on the 28th.
