Softball Game Preview: Simi Valley Pioneers vs. El Camino Real Royals

The Simi Valley Pioneers will face off against the El Camino Real Royals at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Simi Valley is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Thursday. They lost 12-5 to Camarillo.

Kylie Arellano was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Allison Hinds, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

Meanwhile, El Camino Real might've scored the first runs on Thursday, but it was Notre Dame (SO) who claimed the real prize. El Camino Real came up short against Notre Dame (SO), falling 10-1. The Royals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

El Camino Real now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Simi Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5-1.
