Basketball Game Preview: Miller Grove Wolverines vs. Redan Raiders

The Miller Grove Wolverines will venture away from home to square off against the Redan Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Miller Grove is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Miller Grove's tournament run continued when they took on Southwest DeKalb on Tuesday. Miller Grove was outmatched by Southwest DeKalb and fell 54-14. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 319th, while the Panthers are ranked 54th).

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Kamiya Moore, who posted five points. Another player making a difference was Nariah Cato, who earned two points along with five boards and three steals.

Meanwhile, Redan came into Tuesday's game having lost 11 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They escaped with a win on Tuesday against Clarkston by the margin of a single free throw, 33-32.

Redan's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Miller Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Miller Grove came up short against Redan in their previous matchup back in December of 2020, falling 46-40. Can Miller Grove avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
