Kosciusko entered their tilt with Leflore County on Thursday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 47-33 win over the Leflore County Tigers. Given the Whippets' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 56th, while the Tigers are ranked 200th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leflore County's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Antionette Holston, who went 6 for 12 on her way to 13 points and six rebounds, and Olivia Hilton, who went 5 of 6 on her way to 12 points.
