The Orangewood Christian Rams will square off against the Horizon Hawks at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Orangewood Christian comes in on 14 and Horizon on five.
On Friday, Orangewood Christian made easy work of Cornerstone Charter Academy and carried off an 11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won six matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.
Tre Roach made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season.
In other pitching news, Rhys Oldham looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, Aiden Balls was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was James Grimm, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Orangewood Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Horizon posted their closest victory since February 13th on Wednesday. They skirted past Seabreeze 9-8.
Orangewood Christian's win bumped their record up to 14-0. As for Horizon, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4-1.
