Volleyball Recap: Cordova Comes Up Short

Cordova lost against Grant back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lancers fell just short of the Pacers by a score of 3-2. While the Lancers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Pacers 25-20 in the first set.

Cordova took Grant into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking nine-point loss. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-22, 25-20, 21-25, 15-6.

Cordova's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Grant, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

Cordova and Grant will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Lancers see the court they'll take on Antelope at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Grant, their break will end when they face McClatchy at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
