After soaring to ten runs the game before, Piner was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They lost 16-2 to the Montgomery Vikings. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Kellan Stiles was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jake Schudel, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Piner has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. The victory made it two in a row for Montgomery and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Piner has already played their next match, a 12-3 defeat against Analy on the 28th. As for Montgomery, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Santa Rosa on the 28th.
