Basketball Recap: Athens Takes a Loss

Athens lost against Lake Orion back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Athens Red Hawks fell 52-41 to the Lake Orion Dragons.

Athens' defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Lake Orion, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-4.

Athens will finish 2024 at home by hosting Kettering at 12:30 p.m. on December 28th. As for Lake Orion, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Oxford at 7:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Oxford will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Lake Orion surely won't give up without a fight.
