Basketball Recap: Hebron Takes a Loss

After flying high against Lighthouse College Prep Academy last Tuesday, Hebron came back down to earth. The Hebron Hawks took a blow against the 21st Century Charter Cougars on Friday, falling 85-50. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 291st, while the Cougars are ranked 71st).

Terrence Hayes continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for 21st Century Charter, dropping a triple-double with 24 points, 16 boards, and 11 assists. Hayes has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 23 times he's played. Romel Williams was another key player, going 6-for-10 to rack up 13 points along with seven assists and three steals.

Hebron's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for 21st Century Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 15-6.

Coming up, Hebron and West Central will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. As for 21st Century Charter, they will welcome Munster at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
