Wilkes-Barre hadn't done well against Wyoming Valley West recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Wolfpack came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 4-1. That's two games straight that the Wolfpack have won by exactly three runs.

Wilkes-Barre's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Dalton Flowers, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Wilkes-Barre is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Wyoming Valley West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.
