Softball Recap: Bellefonte Comes Up Short

Bellefonte had taken Philipsburg-Osceola down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Red Raiders fell just short of the Mounties by a score of 2-1. The Red Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mounties apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Bellefonte now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Philipsburg-Osceola, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Bellefonte will welcome State College at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Philipsburg-Osceola, they will challenge West Branch at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
