Volleyball Recap: Acadiana Home School Athletics Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Psalms Christian Academy

Acadiana Home School Athletics faced Psalms Christian Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Commandos fell just short of the Ambassadors by a score of 3-2. The Commandos were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Ambassadors earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Acadiana Home School Athletics took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-18, 19-25, 25-19, 16-14.

Despite the defeat, Acadiana Home School Athletics had strong showings from Elijah Chopin, who had seven digs, six kills, and five aces, and Leo Mader, who had 21 kills, five digs, and one block. With that strong performance, Chopin is now averaging an impressive 12.2 assists per game. Nathan Mayeux was another key player, getting five kills and four digs.

Acadiana Home School Athletics' loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Psalms Christian Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-6.
