Basketball Game Preview: Nolensville Knights vs. Independence Eagles

Nolensville is 2-8 against Independence since December of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Nolensville Knights will jump right back in to play the Independence Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Nolensville will bounce into Saturday's matchup after beating Brentwood, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Nolensville managed a 52-47 victory over Brentwood on Friday.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Independence's strategy against Page last Friday. Independence strolled past Page with points to spare, taking the game 56-42. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Nolensville's victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 17-12. As for Independence, their win bumped their record up to 17-11.

Nolensville came up short against Independence in their previous meeting back in January, falling 46-36. Can Nolensville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
