Baseball Recap: Grafton Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Grafton's offense. They fell just short of the West Bend East Suns by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Black Hawks in their meetings with the Suns: they've now lost six in a row.

Luke Michalak was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances.

Grafton's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for West Bend East, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-17.
