Baseball Recap: Marcellus Comes Up Short

Marcellus and Homer pushed the score to 14-8 the last time they played Homer, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Mustangs fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 3-1. The Mustangs' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Marcellus saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Foy, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Marcellus' loss dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Homer, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Marcellus will take on Skaneateles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Homer, they will face off against Mexico at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
