Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson Yellowjackets vs. Sergeant Bluff-Luton Warriors

Jefferson is 2-8 against Sergeant Bluff-Luton since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Yellowjackets will challenge the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Jefferson had taken Sioux City West down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets came up short against the Wolverines, falling 85-65.

Meanwhile, Sergeant Bluff-Luton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 60-54 to Lincoln. The Warriors have struggled against the Lynx recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Sergeant Bluff-Luton, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Jefferson took a serious blow against Sergeant Bluff-Luton in their previous matchup back in January, falling 76-44. Can the Yellowjackets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
