Volleyball Game Preview: Ada Bulldogs vs. Lima Central Catholic Thunderbirds

The Ada Bulldogs will be taking part in a tournament against the Lima Central Catholic Thunderbirds at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lima Central Catholic took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Ada, who comes in off a win.

Ada won the last time they faced Upper Scioto Valley and Alyssa Madison did her part to make sure it happened again. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday for which the team can thank Madison, who had 23 digs. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.

Ada walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-16, 25-17, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Lima Central Catholic came up short against Shawnee on Saturday, falling 3-0.

Lima Central Catholic took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-10, 25-17.

Ada has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Lima Central Catholic, they dropped their record down to 11-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Ada took their win against Lima Central Catholic in their previous matchup back in September of 2023 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Thunderbirds turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
