Turner Ashby is 9-1 against Rockbridge County since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Knights are taking a road trip to face off against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Turner Ashby will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Turner Ashby got the win against William Monroe by a conclusive 12-2. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Rockbridge County hadn't done well against East Rockingham recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Wildcats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eagles, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since April 4th.

Turner Ashby's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Rockbridge County, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.

Everything went Turner Ashby's way against Rockbridge County in their previous matchup back in April, as Turner Ashby made off with an 11-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
