Baseball Game Preview: St. George's Dragons vs. Groton School

St. George is 0-4 against Groton School since May of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Dragons will face off against Groton School at 4:30 p.m. St. George's has given up an average of 12.3 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

St. George's is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 16th straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They lost 17-2 to St. Mark's.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Groton School was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Middlesex. The defeat continues a trend for Groton School in their meetings with Middlesex: they've now lost three in a row.

Groton School's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for St. George's, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

St. George's suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Groton School when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Dragons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
