The Mount Si Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Newport - Bellevue Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mount Si is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.6 runs per game this season.

While Mount Si's win against Inglemoor wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats skirted past the Vikings 8-6. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly two runs.

The team relied heavily on Anna Braukus, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Abigail Rowland was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Mount Si always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Meanwhile, Newport - Bellevue got the win against Sammamish on Tuesday by a conclusive 21-12. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by nine runs or more this season.

Mount Si has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.1 runs over those games. As for Newport - Bellevue, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.

Everything went Mount Si's way against Newport - Bellevue in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as Mount Si made off with a 12-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
