Basketball Recap: Waverly Comes Up Short

Waverly was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost to the Valley Indians on the road by a 62-47 margin. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Indians earlier this season, when they won 42-40.

Waverly's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Looking ahead, Waverly won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Valley, they will welcome Greenup County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
