The Eastlake Titans will be taking part in a tournament against the West Hills Wolf Pack at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Eastlake 2.6, West Hills 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Eastlake took a loss when they played away from home last Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Friday. They came out on top against Sage Creek by a score of 9-4.

Eastlake got a great performance from Kaili Balajadia as she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts Balajadia has posted since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, Jaelene Jenkins and Deziree Gomez did most of the damage at the plate: Jenkins scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Gomez went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. That's the most runs Jenkins has posted since back in March of 2024. Bri Ayap was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
Eastlake was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
West Hills not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since March 8th. They were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over Brawley. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolf Pack.
Ava Goodman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits.
At the plate, Katy Spargo was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kiara Rabaya, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
West Hills' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Eastlake, their win bumped their record up to 9-4-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Eastlake hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like West Hills struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Eastlake couldn't quite get it done against West Hills in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 7-4. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
