Baseball Recap: Greater Latrobe Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Greater Latrobe can now relate to. They fell just short of the Pine-Richland Rams by a score of 8-7 on Monday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2018.

Greater Latrobe has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-7 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Pine-Richland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-3.

As of now, neither Greater Latrobe nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
