Softball Recap: ALA - Gilbert North Takes a Loss

ALA - Gilbert North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They came up short against the Cactus Cobras, falling 16-6.

Makenzi Ravelo was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season. Coco Gomez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

ALA - Gilbert North's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Cactus, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. ALA - Gilbert North will square off against Combs at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Coyotes have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season. As for Cactus, they will take on Estrella Foothills at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Wolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12 runs per game on average), something the Cobras will no doubt try to take advantage of.
