Basketball Recap: Langford Comes Up Short

Langford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 75-54 to the Florence/Henry Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Falcons are ranked 45th).

Despite the loss, Langford still got an impressive performance from Kassen Keough, who went 10 for 24 en route to 29 points and three steals. That was a full 53.7% of Langford's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Rennan Bruns was another key player, putting up ten points.

Langford's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Florence/Henry, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Langford will take on North Central at 5:30 p.m. on January 25th. As for Florence/Henry, they will face off against Milbank at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
