Soccer Game Preview: Kelso vs. Evergreen

Kelso hasn't had much luck against Evergreen recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Hilanders will head out on the road to challenge the Plainsmen at 7:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Kelso is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They lost 4-0 to Mountain View. While losing is never fun, Kelso can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while Mountain View are ranked 98th).

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Evergreen was forced to settle for a draw. They and Mountain View finished up their matchup with a 0-0 draw on Wednesday.

Evergreen's draw gives them a new season record of 6-6-1. As for Kelso, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.

Kelso came up short against Evergreen when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 2-0. Can the Hilanders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
