Basketball Recap: Wheatland's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

Wheatland won the last time they faced Torrington and things went their way on Thursday too. The Wheatland Bulldogs managed a 56-52 victory over the Torrington Trailblazers.

When it comes to explaining why Torrington lost, don't look at Mac Hibben. Despite the final result, he went 8 of 12 en route to 16 points in addition to seven steals and five rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Hibben a new career-high in blocks (three). Landre Greiman was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten boards.

Wheatland's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9. As for Torrington, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-5.

Wheatland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-38 defeat against Rawlins on the 25th. Torrington has also already played their next matchup, a 64-49 loss against Douglas on the 25th.
