Basketball Game Preview: Central Private Redhawks vs. Mamou Demons

The Central Private Redhawks will venture away from home to challenge the Mamou Demons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Central Private didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 54-46 victory over St. John on Friday. Given the Redhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while the Eagles are ranked 284th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mamou, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 68-42 margin over South Beauregard on Thursday.

Mamou is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Central Private, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
