Baseball Game Preview: Wayne Hills Patriots vs. Don Bosco Prep Ironmen

Wayne Hills hasn't had much luck against Don Bosco Prep recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Patriots will face off against the Ironmen at 4:15 p.m. Wayne Hills will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Wayne Hills proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by ten) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Pope John XXIII 2-1.

Meanwhile, Don Bosco Prep never let their opponents score on Saturday. They blew past Cresskill 16-0. The Ironmen might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by six runs or more this season.

Don Bosco Prep pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Wayne Hills, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.

Wayne Hills might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Don Bosco Prep in their previous meeting back in April of 2022. Can the Patriots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
