After losing to Statesville Christian the last time they met, University Christian decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The University Christian Barracudas walked away with a 39-29 win over the Statesville Christian Lions on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Barracudas as they're now sitting on three straight.

University Christian was led to victory by Kinsley Tompkins and Ellie Adams. Tompkins posted 15 points, while Adams earned 14 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Adams has scored at least a third of University Christian's points.

Statesville Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Addison Layne, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds, and Ava Hughes, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 boards. Layne has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last five times she's played. Breanna McDonald was another key player, putting up six points.

University Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Statesville Christian, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-4 record.

University Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-38 loss against Westminster Catawba Christian on the 24th. Statesville Christian has also already played their next match, a 43-26 defeat against Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy on the 24th.
